Hello,

With CUPS 1.4.5 you must provide UTF-8 text files, only these are unterstood
by the filte texttops; just convert your file like this:

$ iconv -f iso-8859-1 -t utf-8 < file | lpr -P...

Even with this, you might need better fonts with glyphs for your languages.
