Dear Friends,

I am trying to use the Epson LX-400 dot printer under Debian GNU/Linux
SID, without success. This is cups 1.4.6-9. I have 3 other USB printers
working fine.

lsmod | grep usb
usb_storage            34951  0
usbcore                99121  5 usb_storage,uas,ohci_hcd,ehci_hcd
scsi_mod              134453  6 sg,sr_mod,usb_storage,uas,sd_mod,libata

usblp is blacklisted, which is normal.

The printer is Bus 001 Device 004: ID 3980:0002

So I added this udev rule:
ATTRS{idVendor}=="3980", ATTRS{idProduct}=="0002", MODE:="0664",
GROUP:="lp"

I am planning to use the Epson 9-pin Series CUPS driver.

Still, Cups cannot see the LX-400 printer.
Any idea?

Kind regards,
Jean-Michel
