Hello,

I've installed drivers for Brother HL-1030 printer (LPT1), according to instructions provided in this site,...

http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc/public_s/id/linux/en/instruction_prn1a.html

... Although the printer is ok (because it works in other OS like windows) when i try to print a document the printer gets alive, shows with "data" led that is receiving data and i even see a progress bar showing how the data is being sent but, in the end, data led turns off and the printer does not even load the paper.

This are the commands i've used for installing the driver:

ln -s /etc/init.d/cups /etc/init.d/lpd
mkdir /var/spool/lpd
mkdir /var/spool/lpd/HL1030
dpkg -i --force-all hl1030lpr-1.1.2-1.i386.deb
dpkg -i --force-all cupswrapperHL1030-1.0.2-1.i386.deb

Test:
dpkg -l | grep Brother

I can see the printer active in http://localhost:631/printers

I've tried to restart printer server but it does not work
/etc/init.d/lpd restart

Any help please?

Thanks in advance
Juanjo
