How to install 1.4.6 on a PPC Mac

Sorry to be a bother, Michael, but I don't know where to find a var/log/cups/error_log file. I used the Finder but nothing is coming up. I hate to sound out of it but I don't even see a folder called "/var." I found the cups folder but I do not see an error log.
