cups doesn't count the pages

Hi list, I have a problem I have installed cups working with an oki b6500, I print well and everything, but when I print a document and I want to see how many pages it printed he tells me unknown , looking for  internet encounter that cups needs to have a called option PageLog /var/log/cups/page_log, I add it inside cupsd.conf, but does it continue without working, some idea?

I have centos 5.6 and cups-1.3.7-26.el5_6.1
