Printer prints out raw cups data

I'd suggest to tell the printer to print a PostScript error page in case of 
errors. And I suspect that the slash in the setpagedevice statement you 
posted should be a closing square bracket (]). Unless this is a typo of 
yours, I think it is a typo in the printer's PPD.
