The filters pstoraster, pdftoraster, and gstoraster (from Ghostscript 9.02
and higher) render black objects as dithered gray, if the PS or PDF color
space is /DeviceCMYK and the only nonzero color component is black, iff
the Ghostscript version used is 9.00 and higher.

This is due to the fact that all color handling in gs 9.xx is done via ICC
profiles and the default CMYK profile does not preserve pure black.

As this issue seems to be discussed controverely among the Ghostscript
developers, I'm not sure whose bug this really is.
