Jan, 
I one more looked through the log files you posted and saw that the pstops 
filter correctly considered the hardware margins specified in the PPD and 
inserted an appropriate scalint statement in the global setup section.

But this gets overruled by the statement in the page setup section I 
mentioned in my previous post.
