[cups.general] Epson 4900 classes not sharing PPD over network

Hi,

Up until recently we have been successfully printing to pools (classes) of Epson 4800 printers. The printers are set up on a server, grouped in a class, and the class queue shared across the network.
Clients see these shared queues and the correct Driver/PPD is selected automatically. Or at least they did...

Since upgrading to OSX 10.6.x (snow leopard) and Epson 4900's the PPD is no longer shared correctly across the network. Clients see the class queues but 'Generic Postscript' is selected and manually selecting the correct PPD only results 
in the queue pausing and no output.

Local classes work correctly, it is just when shared across the network that the failure occurs.

Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?
