Do you really like to print any kind of documents as raster graphics
on such a printer or do you only want to print so called "plain text"?

In the latter case, you may have a look at
"Printing Plain Text in Printer-Specific Encoding" in
http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Using_Your_Own_Filters_to_Print_with_CUPS
in particular note "System V style interface script" therein.
