Creating a 'device-dependent postscript file'

Does anybody know how to create a 'device-dependent postscript file' from a pdf file. That way I know the document will always be printed the same way (correct tray, duplex, folding , etc.). In other words, I want the output of the 'lp' command directed to another file and not to the printer.


I will use the file for later use to send it to the printer with:
lp -o raw filename
