getting cups-pdf to work (update)

Hello all,

  Ok, first I made a slight version mistake it is 11.4 OpenSuSe.(Sorry)
I am just waiting for the 12.0 Release to upgrade.

  Anyway, I just did a manual upgrade to cups 1.5.  I got the command-line on the linux side to generate PDF(s).  I can lp filename and it works.

   New problem I got it making files, but all my files are 2.14k empty shells with no content when printing from Windows.  Specifically notepad and firefox, and LibreOffice 3.4.3 for windows.


  How close to ready is cups 1.6? Would it be stable enough for my pdf printer?
