Avahi / Airprint and CUPS

here's one, but i found GOBS of people with the same problem (show up for a few minutes, then POOF

whenever i'd restart the avahi-daemon they would show back up for a minute or two and then go away again (identical to what other people saw)

i'm ditching Avahi in lieu of using this open-source software from Apple and just shelling around it to automate / daemonize it
