I am looking athe ipptool for querying ipp printers.

1. Does the printer have to be configured in CUPS as a printer, or can I run ipptool to query a printer directly without configuring anything in cups.

2. I have some printers that I am already able to query via other IPP software, using a URI such as e.g. http://myprinter/ipp. Would I be able to use this URI with ipptool?
