rpm -ba on AIX 6.1 w/ 1.4.7

Ok, I finally (and very painfully) got this all working on AIX with a lot of spec file doctoring.  I know there is a param you can set so that you don't have to unset LIBPATH before running the CUPS commands.  Anyone out there know what it would be or have an idea?  Any Help appreciated.
