Cups Printing issue

I am getting the following error when I try to print from cups

lpr: Unsupported document-format "text/plain". for a text file

lpr: Unsupported document-format "application/pdf". for a pdf file

lpr: Unsupported document-format "image/gif".  for a gif file

lpr: Unsupported document-format "image/jpeg".  for a jpg file

Any body have any clues as to why this is happening..

I have installed ghostscript on the server.
