[cups.general] Print dialog - long delay to show network printers

Michael,

While such a configuration will be slower than printing through a local cupsd, it should not take 2 minutes.

I am unable to retrieve the file you posted, but the first thing I would check is name resolution - CUPS will try to lookup an IPv6 address first, then IPv4 in order to talk to the server. If you try using the server's IP address as the server name it will bypass any name resolution and connection issues related to the resolved address...
