intermittent pdftops failed

Another analyst worked it out - no scratch space left on the server. For some reason, when the scratch files are deleted, that space isn't returned to the pool. So we were counting existing files and adding sizes, but the disk usage kept reporting 100% despite our getting nowhere near that. Rebooting the server fixed it. Now we just need to make a cron to do that regularly.
