Ubuntu 12.10(quantal)/64 bit /brother hl-2240d driver not available

Hello all,
I have a problem with Ubuntu and cups - the printer Brother HL-2240 gets recognized by Ubuntu, but not by cups,- it is not possible  to register the brother printer in cups administrator page.
When I try to install the correct printer driver by cupswrapper, I get the answer that the driver is  not correct for the 64 bit version.
How can I get help in this case ( - compile a driver for 64 bit or so ?)
