[cups] n-up printing page-border option, lpoptions file how to

Hi,

- Debian GNU/Linux 7.4
- CUPS 1.5.3

When selecting the following print properties (in Adobe Reader 9.5.5.):
- duplex printing: manual long edge (standard)
- n-up printing: 2-up
- n-up orientation: landscape
each printed page has a border, although
http://localhost:631/help/options.html says:

--- quote ---
N-Up Printing
...
The -o page-border=value option chooses the border to draw around each page:
...
-o page-border=none; do not draw a border (default)
...
--- unquote ---

There's no pdf reader printing options/properties to print with/without
borders.

There's a ~/.cups/lpoptions file which currently contains one line: Default
HP-LaserJet-1022
and, unless I missed something, haven't found instructions on how to use
this lpoptions file
to set n-up printing with page-border=none.

Please advise.

Thanks & best regards,
Alan
