[cups] usb backend finds printer but lpinfo not

Hey everybody,

my Samsung CLP 365 used to work without problems but is now listed as
"Waiting for printer to become available." at the queued jobs. I can't
get it back to work.
I even set up my system from scratch, what resulted in a working setup
again. But when I undocked my Laptop for the weekend and came back, the
printer wasn't found anymore.

The current state is as follows:
# lpinfo -v
network https
network ipps
network lpd
network ipp
network http
network socket
network smb

but:
# /usr/lib/cups/backend/usb
DEBUG: Loading USB quirks from "/usr/share/cups/usb".
DEBUG: Loaded 72 quirks.
DEBUG: list_devices
DEBUG: libusb_get_device_list=15
DEBUG2: Printer found with device ID:
MFG:Samsung;CMD:SPLC,FWV,PIC,BDN,DCU,EXT;MDL:CLP-360
Series;CLS:PRINTER;MODE:SPL5,R000102;STATUS:IDLE; Device URI:
usb://Samsung/CLP-360%20Series?serial=Z6Y7B8GF6E01SGA
direct usb://Samsung/CLP-360%20Series?serial=Z6Y7B8GF6E01SGA "Samsung
CLP-360 Series" "Samsung CLP-360 Series"
"MFG:Samsung;CMD:SPLC,FWV,PIC,BDN,DCU,EXT;MDL:CLP-360
Series;CLS:PRINTER;MODE:SPL5,R000102;STATUS:IDLE;" ""

so the backend seems to find it.
But the configured printer is not working with "Waiting for printer to
become available." and setting it up again does not work because cups
does not list the printer in the webinterface.

Some version information:
# uname -a
Linux mkthink 4.1.4-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Aug 3 21:30:37 UTC 2015
x86_64 GNU/Linux
# pacman -Q cups
cups 2.0.4-1

I am running arch-linux updated to the latest versions.

Any idea how to investigate this?
Cheers,
Markus
