Michael-

Thank you for the reply, and sorry my follow-up can't fully quote your
response and will probably lose threading for the archives -- it turns out
I wasn't fully subscribed to the mailing list when you moderated my
original question and then responded. I'm successfully subscribed now,
thankfully.

Regarding your response:

>Tim,

>Setup the shared printer using a device URI of "ipp://servername/printers/printername?version=1.1".

I'm a little confused. Are you saying that I need to alter the <Printer>
entries on the RHEL cups 1.3.7 server so that ?version=1.1 is included
in each <Printer> entry, or are you saying that we should use a printer
name or queue name on the Mac client system submitting the job of

 	printername?version=1.1

I assumed this needed to be done on the Mac client when the queue is set
up, and we tried that (through the GUI), but the server still logs the
same error:

D [19/Aug/2015:16:33:19 -0500] cupsdAcceptClient: skipping getpeercon()
D [19/Aug/2015:16:33:19 -0500] cupsdAcceptClient: 8 from 10.134.71.172:631 (IPv

D [19/Aug/2015:16:33:19 -0500] cupsdReadClient: 8 POST /printers/qbb-150-b?version=1.1 HTTP/1.1
D [19/Aug/2015:16:33:19 -0500] cupsdAuthorize: No authentication data provided.
E [19/Aug/2015:16:33:19 -0500] cupsdReadClient: 8 IPP Read Error!
D [19/Aug/2015:16:33:19 -0500] cupsdSendError: 8 code=400 (Bad Request)
D [19/Aug/2015:16:33:19 -0500] cupsdCloseClient: 8

It's clear that the Mac client is now including the ?version=1.1 at the
end of the IPP URI, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference.

Am I misinterpreting your instructions, or is there something else going
on here?

Thanks,

PS: I'm happy to have the cups.org site back, and have the cups mailing
list available again.
