[cups] sl7.1: how do I enable lpd support in CUPS?

I guess you need to install xinetd separately. I found the link
/mirror/ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/7.1/x86_64/os/Packages <http://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/7.1/x86_64/os/Packages>
There you will find the respective RPM.
