Hi all,
I read all replies to my e-mail questions from Alex Korobkin, Helge
Blischke and Michael Sweet.
The current situation is that I have already used the drivers suggested
by Alex (from site eriegel.de) before I wrote the questions to the
conference. I was interested, whether I used current drivers in my new
CentOs 7 setup. The cups print server running on CentOS7 CUPS 1.6.3 and
Samba 4.1.12. is now working, it is possible to print from Linux and
Windows clients correctly. The windows clients are mostly Windows 7 x64
professional. I used the deprecated setup (with cups-windows print
driver) in detail described on
http://blog.realcomputerguy.com/2011/10/cups-samba-64bit-driver-installation.html
The reason why the new print server was not working from several windows
stations was in the windows firewall settings. In our company we use
different vlans for stations and servers.
stations 172.25.0.0/20
servers 172.25.32.0/23
the cups/samba server is in the servers vlan
The windows 7 clients need to add firewall rule
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="servers-subnet" dir=in
action=allow remoteip=172.25.32.0/23 enable=yes
profile=public,private,domain
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="servers-subnet" dir=out
action=allow remoteip=172.25.32.0/23 enable=yes
profile=public,private,domain
to have the CUPS/SAMBA print server correctly working with the windows 7
client in different vlan.
This information may be usefull for someone else.

I try to found the cups postscript drivers for windows (x86 and amd64 versions) on the cups.org website as it is recommended in the man page of cupsaddsmb. However I cannot found the drivers on the site.
