[cups] Confusion over toner level

I have a Samsung CLP-325w printer.
When I go to System Settings=>Hardware=>Printers
on my Fedora-24 (beta) laptop,
I'm told that the black toner cartridge is almost full,
but when I go to the same site on my CentOS-7 server
I'm told it is completely empty,
which seems much nearer the truth.
Why this difference?

Incidentally, I was trying to find (and download)
the Samsung Smart Panel, of which there is a Linux version,
according to the Samsung web-site,
but which I have been unable to discover there.
I wonder if anyone is using this?
And if so, does it give more or better information
than System Settings?
