Hi,

I'm dealing with something very strange, hope somebody can shed some light
on it, maybe I'm doing something stupid. Here's the situation:

Printer: HP M225dw (postscript printer)
PPD: hp-laserjet_pro_mfp_m225_m226-ps.ppd.gz

I have 2 of this printers, same model, and as far as I can see same
firmware. Both are configured as network printer. Ubuntu server 14.04 with
cups 1.7.2 is setup as printing server for the local network. HPLIP was
installed from hplipopensource.com (latest 3.16.5).

Here's the problem: one prints just fine, the other, doesn't. If I try to
print any document from a client it prints a white page. If I try to print
a test job,it prints the frame and a single line saying "Media limits" and
nothing else.

I've also tried to install cups and hplip on a workstation running ubuntu
16.04 and got the same problem, blank page or the frame (1px thin line I
mean) and "Media limits" about in the middle of it.

However

on my own desktop, which is ubuntu 15.04 with cups 2.1.0 + hplip 3.16.2 and
the same PPD as everywhere else it prints just fine...

I'm at a complete loss. The printer can't be broken because locally from
USB keya nd from my desktop it prints just fine. Cups and the PPD can't be
at fault on the printing server since the other HP M225dw prints just fine.

I've grepped error.log for the test job and I don't see any errors.

Any wizard out there? because it feels like I'm dealing with black magic
here...

tia,

Spike
