This is not an issue inside Ghostscript
but Ghostscript fails (with "Error: /ioerror")
because of a "Broken pipe" outside of Ghostscript.

Ghostscript is called within a pipe of various other
filtering programs like
... producer_program | Ghostscript | consumer_program ...

It seems the consumer_program had finished too early
so that the pipe "Ghostscript | consumer_program" broke and
then Ghostscript has no longer something valid whereto it
could send its output which is the reason why Ghostscript
can only fail with "Error: /ioerror".

You need to find out the root cause of the "Broken pipe".
