Hi Brian,
Thanks a million I have run the apt get and installed ok. Gone through CUPS printer install and all now working perfectly.
Have a nice Christmas. It’s Snowing here in Scotland but won’t last.

I have no experience of using a rasberry pi but I believe the
operating system is based on Debian. For the driver (a PPD)
you will, at a minimum, need the printer-driver-hpcups package.
Check you have it (from a terminal) with

  dpkg -l printer-driver-hpcups

or whatever you feel comfortable with.

Get it with

  apt-get printer-driver-hpcups

if you do not have it. (Actually, if you already have it, this
command will tell you so).

We'll go from there once you determine the package installation
state.
