[cups] Printing with Canon copiers from Windows with CUPS

Hello,

We're working on setting up printing direct to the new Canon copiers (imagerunner advance C7570, in our case) using our Linux/CUPS print server.

Printing from Linux is not an issue, but unfortunately, printing from Windows is not working out as expected due to the Department ID.  Specifying a Department ID (under Device Settings), produces the following error message: "Could not verify the Department ID and PIN specified in Department ID Mgmt. Printing will be cancelled".  This is expected and due to the fact that Canon Device Information service must run on the print server and, obviously, doesn't on CUPS.

We have tried going through ppd files, trying different drivers...  All attempts result in #701 Error message due to a missing Department ID.

Wondering if anyone else was able to solve this problem.
