Hi,

I have not been able to print properly since my system went down two
years ago. I have a networked Ricoh C232sf printer.

The issue I have seems to be that if I set both CUPS and my clients to
the printer I have (Well, CUPS only has the C222sf), jobs get stuck with
"Can't detect file type" and diving in to logs I see messages about "Not
a PDF file". Excerpts from the log:

D [30/Apr/2019:09:04:46 +0100] [Job 276] OUTFORMAT=\"(null)\", so output format will be CUPS/PWG Raster
D [30/Apr/2019:09:04:46 +0100] [Job 276] OUTFORMAT=\"PDF\", so output format will be PDF
D [30/Apr/2019:09:04:46 +0100] [Job 276] pdftopdf: Last filter determined by the PPD: rastertogutenprint.5.2; FINAL_CONTENT_TYPE: application/vnd.cups-raster => pdftopdf will not log pages in page_log.
E [30/Apr/2019:09:04:46 +0100] [Job 276] Can\'t detect file type

D [30/Apr/2019:09:04:46 +0100] [Job 276] PID 7315 (/usr/lib/cups/filter/gstopdf) stopped with status 1.
E [30/Apr/2019:09:04:46 +0100] [Job 276] loadFile failed: temp file: not a PDF file

E [30/Apr/2019:09:04:46 +0100] [Job 276] Can\'t detect file type

Where do I start with this? I have tried re-installing, but it didn't help. The filter package seems to be ok. I've looked at all the suggestions from Google, which seems to have helped other people, but it does not appear to be the same problem I have.

Thanks
Henrik Morsing
