Hi folks,

using cups 2.2.10-6 and hplip 3.18.12+dfsg0-2 (Debian) I have
configured 11 HP Laserjet in my network. All appear to print fine,
except for 2 P3010. The selftest print job for these printers gets
stuck in "hold" with "Filter failed".

Using debug logging I found this in error.log:

:
D [19/Jun/2019:11:49:54 +0200] [Job 102] prnt/backend/hp.c 824: ERROR: open device failed stat=12: hp:/net/HP_LaserJet_P3010_Series?ip=172.19.96.88

:

ppd file is "HP LaserJet 3015 hpijs pcl3, 3.18.12 (color, 2-sided printing)",
but I tried the pcl3, hpcups and Postscript as well (p3015 and p3010),
even the ppd files for older HP printers and from the Gutenprint project.
None of them worked.

If I access the 3010 printer via Web browser and upload a pdf for
printing, then it prints fine.

Every helpful comment is highly appreciated. I can upload the
compressed logfile, if necessary, but its pretty huge.

Harri
