You asked earlier

You evidently have the Canon provided drivers configured correctly as
you can print using them. As Gernot Hassenpflug said, there is no
Gutenprint driver for your printer yet. So option 1 is to stick with
your working USB connection.

However, with the device on the network with wireless you can take
advantage of printing without any drivers, as indicated in the link you
were given.
