Hi,

for some reason the network settings of your printer seem to be 
errornous i assume. If you can use the admin page for the printer - 
there should be network settings - have a look at them. Of course these 
are printer specific, so i can't know how your's are, but the shall be a 
point to control IP (set to static, if dynamic) and the usable protocols.
And have a look at the printers settings in cups, are there correct 
network settings?

But if you can't ping but administrate by http://10.5.2.10 ... 
strange... is the http://10.5.2.10 persistant, when you try to admin the 
printer by its admin page or is it replaced by something else in the 
browsers address field?
