Login to CUPS via localhost:631

Just to let you know that the problem got solved, but not sure how or why.
Fiddling about with stopping, starting cups here is sequence if it helps.  Also
got this site from the web which helps a bit

desktop:/home/jim # /etc/init.d/cups stop
Shutting down cupsd                                                  done
desktop:/home/jim # cd /etc/cups/
desktop:/etc/cups # cp cupsd.conf cupsdchangedfromSuseAdvice.conf
desktop:/etc/cups # cp cupsd.confjim0704 cupsd.conf
desktop:/etc/cups # cupsd
desktop:/etc/cups # /etc/init.d/cups stop
Shutting down cupsd                                                  done
desktop:/etc/cups # rccups restart
Shutting down cupsd                                                  done
Starting cupsd                                                       done
desktop:/etc/cups # lppasswd -g  sys -a root
Enter password:
Enter password again:

gave it root password and it acceped it this time, then I was able to log in to
cups 127.0.0.1:631
