Hello

actually i am using the cupsys that comes with debian unstable and the
cvs version of gs-eps, that has the alc4100 driver.

i had to compile hard into the gs all possible font directories to get
rid of that damned /invalidfont in findfont error... since gs-eps
completely ignores the GS_FONTPATH variable....

now i tryed a lot of stuff...
but there's no way to get somethings reasonable out of the printer...

i changed the driver to use the Epson-AcuLaser_C4100-ljet4 and oh
miracle the output looks just fine!!

so the epkowa driver is the culprit that fucks up my prints...

any hint from anybody?

i am actually relieved that i am able to print some things with this
printer.... but i didn't buy a color printer to be only able to print in
b&w....
