Delay

I am having a problem with the delay on a few select printing on my CUPS machine.  The print jobs are coming off a UNIX box to the queue on the CUPS machine.  From there the CUPS can handle all the remote procedures.  I am getting delays in the minutes for text printouts.  For example:  An Okidata 320 on a Windows XP Machine running LPD print server software delays 3 minutes before printing out one page of text.  Any suggestions?
