trying to compile ESP Ghostscript

Hi,

I downloaded the necessary files to build ESP Ghostscript:
espgs-8.15rc3-source.tar.gz
jpegsrc.v6b.tar.gz
libpng-1.2.8.tar.gz
zlib-1.2.2.tar.gz

and I followed the directions in ghostscript-8.15/doc/Make.htm to build gs. My problem is that the executable does not contain the cups device. Also, I appear to not have cups-config on my system (I am using Suse 9.3)

I am not sure what to do to get the cups device to be included in the build. I cannot find any documentation that explains how to build the ESP Ghostscript so that it includes the device. Does anyone know or know where to point me?
