Printing Cyrillic fonts

I am running CUPS 1.22 on a Solaris 9 sparc hosts. All our printers are HP 
PS printers.

I use FireFox browser.

We have one host that is the print server. All other computers are clients 
that forward print jobs to the print server.


We have several faculty that would like to be able to print document in 
Cyrillic.

Here is the problem.

With Firefox I can go to a ULR page that has Cyrillic characters and the 
fonts get displayed ok.

If I try to print the web page to the printer (client or server) I get junk.

I then saved the URL page to a PS file.

I then used gv/gs and displayed the page on the screen.

If I try to print the PS file from gv or send the PS file to the printer 
using lpr, I get junk.

This is the output from gs when I display the file with gs.

QUESTIONS:

Should the printer server download the fonts to the PS printer? I copied all 
the fonts that are in /opt/csw/share/ghostscript/fonts to the default fonts 
directory indicated in the cups.config.


Any suggestions why CUPS is not finding the Cyrillic fonts?
