"Options installed" don't persist

Ah, this is a problem with just one of my printers (so far) - which explains why I felt that I should have seen this problem before now! The "Options installed" settings persist nicely with another printer I have just tried, but not with an HP LaserJet 9000dtn - though I don't see why the model type should matter!
