[cups.general] Mac-generated PDF doesn't print.

Debian Sid with Cupsys package: 1.2.7-1

My first draft of this mail was asking why I can print with Safari to
my Linux Cups server, but not with Notepad on the iBook -- either
directly from the Notepad printer interface or by first converting to
PDF and printing from the iBook's "Preview" application.

But, it seems the problem is the PDF file created by the Notepad
application just won't print. I copied the PDF from the iBook to
Linux and it will display in xpdf, but it doesn't print.

Here's the PDF file.

I enabled debugging and here's a few logs, if interested.

http://hank.org/safari - successfully printing form Safari
http://hank.org/notepad - failed from Notepad on iBook
http://hank.org/xpdf - failed from xpdf text.pdf on Linux

By the way -- when the iBook is powered up I get these lines in my
logs every few seconds:

192.168.1.12 - - [01/Dec/2006:09:50:14 -0800] "POST / HTTP/1.1" 200 224 CUPS-Get-Classes successful-ok
192.168.1.12 - - [01/Dec/2006:09:50:14 -0800] "POST / HTTP/1.1" 200 236 Get-Jobs successful-ok

192.168.1.12 - - [01/Dec/2006:09:50:19 -0800] "POST / HTTP/1.1" 200 224 CUPS-Get-Classes successful-ok
192.168.1.12 - - [01/Dec/2006:09:50:19 -0800] "POST / HTTP/1.1" 200 236 Get-Jobs successful-ok

Can I make the iBook do that less often?
