Help Urgent, Samba/cups collating?

Hey, For some reason when I try to collate through SAMBA for windows clients it does not work, in Linux however it works. I am using cups version 1.1.23-r8 on gentoo.

I have 4 printers that can not do collateing to any of them, when I look at the .ppd It do not show anything about collating. Also there are no options in the web admin interface to do it either. I tired the lpoptions collate=True but did not do anything.

Do I have to edit each .ppd and a line in it to Collate=True?

In Linux I can do collating by specify Collate=True than the file name. Problem is when Clients print through SAMBA they can not collate. I am using a mix of postscript and pcl drivers on my server for different printers.

When I print directly to the printer in windows, it is able to collate.
When I print in cups, specify the Collate=True it collates perfectly.
But can not collate through samba.

I did numerous lpoptions -o Collate=True on the printer in cups and also globally on the server... no luck. I might try just specifying lpoptins -o Collate=False and see if that fix the problems. I looked at all my .ppd none of them say anything about collating, I wonder is it not supported on our printers? or maybe not supported in our cups version. Using Cups Version 1.1.23-r8 and samba version 3.0.22-r3 in Gentoo

When I run the command lpoptions -h "name of my server" -l it gives me this:

Now there is no option specified for collating. Does this mean that collating is not supported? I have used the lpoptions Collate=True command to try to set it... it sets it but not as an actual option. Collating works when printing from linux... but not through samba for windows clients.

Anyone know whats going on?

Thanks
