[cups.general] cupsd stops

Dear friends
My System: Linux SuSE 9.2
After trying to add a new queue to the spooler with 
Yast cupsd stopped. And with /etc/init.t/cups start I 
get the messages:
Starting cupsd ... done ... cupsd: Child exited with 
status 98!
The same message I get after refreshing all 
cups-packets and newstart.
Which event does induce cupsd to stand to stop?
