Hi, Specifically
I have a host which contains BrowsePoll directive.
The printers that appear are them selves forward jobs to a LPD server.
I did a sample test and found that the control file for jobs contain the
servername
rather than the client name:
$ cat cfA119services102.cs
Hservices102.cs
Pwtautz
Jwestjet_itenery_ps
ldfA119services102.cs
UdfA119services102.cs
Nwestjet_itenery_ps
whereas if I add the printer directly to the client rather than browsing
for it(and make lpd backend setuid root as
I'm on an Ubuntu system) I get $ cat cfA962moduli.cscf
Hmoduli.cscf
Pwtautz
Jwestjet_itenery_ps
ldfA962moduli.cscf
UdfA962moduli.cscf
Nwestjet_itenery_ps
The H fields is the relevant parameter here.
Question: Is there a way to make the H field have the client hostname
even for browsed printers?
