The phaser uses toner or solid sticks, depending on who wrote the PPD, ink
could be used as a word for toner etc. My phaser PPD does not call out ink
or toner. Its a 6120. It allows a selection of color or greyscale. Did you
look on the Xerox website for a PPD file or did it come with CUPS. I
installed my PPd in /usr/share/cups/model as Helge suggusted and as the
Xerox installation instruction said. Go to the following Website to look
for a PPD.

You may have to look under Unix for it.

My Phaser has been trouble free with the PPd I downloaded from Xerox.
