I added RIPCache 64M to the specific printer definition and it had no effect.  To answer your question, pdfs are where I see the performance issue the most.  Most of my text documents are not more than 2 or 3 pages, but when they are, the printer stalls for a couple seconds in between each duplexed page.  I have tried without duplexing as well, and it still stalls every 2 or three pages.
