Remove jobs after printing

Hi all,
I have a cups v 1.3.6 installed on a ubuntu v.10, kernel 2.6.22-14.
The printers are HP 1220C, driver hplib downloaded from Internet.
when I send some file to print like "lp /etc/passwd", the file is sent to the printer, the files are
created on /var/spool/cups, but this files aren't removed after printing the file and if other files
are sent to the printer, nothing is print util the old files are manually removed from /var/spool/cups.
The printers are connected to a wireless print server, on the same network
