cups - lpd

Hello,

on an unix-system (aix) there is running an cobol-based application.

In the printer configuration in this software normal lp commands like:
lp -dprintername -s are used.

when i change this appliction to an linux-system (sles9) and i use cups then the application cannot print.

there comes an errormessage up looks like:

error hpjetsend .....

when i deinsall cups and install lprng as printigsystem the application prints normal.

Have anyone an idea to this?
