[cups.general] Problem with CUPS v.1.1.23

[Pat H. Minatra]

I am using anything from a LaserJet 2 to an HP3000 LaserJet.  I am using a
LaerJet 5 as a test printer.

 

I am not sure what else I need to do as it seems it should all just work.

 

Any suggestions would be most helpful as I really need to get this to work.
As far as what the printer 'thinks' is installed maybe I need to set it all
to standard paper or is there another setting that should be used?

Yeah, that should just work, and I verified the PCL media position values
against my HP-PCL books. Which printer(s) are you using?

 

FWIW, some printers will override the input slot setting if the media size
does not match what the printer thinks is installed in the tray. E.g. Letter
media is installed but the printer thinks that A4 is in Tray 2...
