Printing Via windows XP

Hi

I am very new to Mac and UNIX and CUPS. I have a PC running XP and a printer 
connected via USB. I want to connect my Macbook wirelessly such that I can 
print from the Macbook to the PC printer. Everyone says it is possible but 
no seems to know how! The Macbook is running CUPS 1.4.1 and I think the key 
statement is that I am attempting to connnect using ..... lpd://<pc ip 
address>/MTC_Printer. I then try to print a test page from CUPS but without 
success. I can ping the ip address from the macbook.

I would be delighted if anyone could explain what else I need to do.
