[cups.general] Xerox Phaser 6130n Detected & Installed Perfectly in 8.10 Intrepid, and will detect but not install in 9.04 Jaunty via System/Admin/Printing/CUPS gui.

Hello Helge and Russbucket,

Thank you again for your responses, they are each helpful and most
appreciated.

I posted my problem a few days ago at Ubuntu Launchpad, and seem now to have
caught the attention of a helpful maintainer.  I'll reply back here once I
send requested information to them and get a response.

Helge, I think your assessment below is correct, and am going to send that
in my response to Launchpad, along with more specific information.
